Le Cuisson : Affordable French Food in the Heartlands

Well it all started while I was just clicking away on my tv remote and came across this tv show recommending french food in the heartlands, it got my attention so I was hoping I could wait for the show to start flashing it's address, the show ended awhile later and... no address whatsoever :(

At that point, I need to find a way to satisfy my craving for french food so what I did was made a few searches on the web and tada! I came across Le Cuisson, made a call and shortly, I'm on my way there. Alright, no more grandfather story, let's check out what Le Cuisson has to offer, shall we? :)

Smoked Duck Breast Salad

Smoked Duck Breast, mesclun with house dressing
$5 nett

Generous portions of smoked duck for a salad, you really can't go wrong with smoked duck can you? Fresh veggies and I really like the house dressing, very appetizing.

Foie Gras Salad

Pan Seared Foie Gras, mesclun with house dressing
$10 nett

Salad base is the same, well seared foie gras, not too oily, goes well with the salad.

Lamb Sausage Pasta

Marguez Sausages with Bacon Tomato Cream Sauce
$10 nett

Looks really ordinary doesn't it? Well the cream sauce is very flavorful, sadly, I didn't really taste the sausages, it wasn't distinct enough.

Sous Vide Pork Neck

Cooked for 5 hours with low temperature, served with Purple Cabbage Slaw and Mash.
$15 nett

Pork Neck, lean but tender, the sauce in the middle tasted like mustard, didn't really fancy the sauce but the mash was tasty, goes pretty well with the pork neck, cabbage slaw was so-so.

The Verdict

All in all, I would definitely recommend Le Cuisson, quality food at affordable pricing, will definitely come back to give other offerings on the menu, though I must say, it felt a little weird(not in a bad way) eating french food nicely plated while people around you are indulging in their usual coffeeshop favorites.

Opening Hours : Tueday - Sundays: 11:30 am - 2:00 pm, 5:30 pm - 9:15 pm
